Send us Seeds for Fire Restoration!

The Caldor Fire has wreaked havoc on our local landscapes, but we plan to be on the front lines of restoring our forests. Help us collect  Jeffrey PineIncense Cedar, and Sugar Pine seed to be cultivated and planted in burned areas. Cones have been "flaring" - opening up and releasing their seeds - so all you have to do is collect the seed from the ground, parking lots or your driveway!  Jeffrey Pine seeds are easiest to collect in this way.  Incense Cedars have little conelets that you can collect from the ground or the tree.  Look for little brown winged seeds similar to Jeffrey pine seeds pictured above under sugar pine trees.

From left to right, we need: Jeffrey Pine, Incense Cedar and Sugar Pine seed.
