Nothing says "Summer!" quite like free concerts on the beach, right?! Come help us work the Bike Valet at THIS Thursday's Live at the Lakeview concert!  All tips will support the Sugar Pine Foundation and all helpers get a free T-shirt.  All in attendance will surely enjoy Mestizo Beat with Boco do Rio!

BIG MEADOW HIKE

Saturday August 17, 9am - 1pm
Come on a guided hike up to Big Meadow with the Tahoe Rim Trail Association and our Executive Director, Maria Mircheva!  Please sign up in advance and bring sun protection, water, snacks, and a curious, open mind about the trees and wildlife you will encounter along the way!   Meet at the Big Meadow trailhead parking area on Hwy 89.

New Board Member

Welcome Matt Church!

We are happy to introduce our newest and most psyched Board Member!
Matt Church is a long-time resident of the Reno-Tahoe area, an avid skier and a professional restoration ecologist.  Matt earned a Master's in Environmental Science at the University of Nevada, Reno and is using his background and training in rangelands management to start his own business - Zephyr Seed -  and essentially carry out the rangelands version of what we do for white pines in the Tahoe Basin.  Zephyr Seed will cultivate and provide native seed for restoration projects on BLM and other lands in NV and beyond.
In addition to his familiarity and history in the Tahoe area, Matt is very knowledgeable about plants and has also worked doing Forestry Inventory and Analysis.  His science background, technical skills and purpose-driven thoughtfulness add great perspective and depth to our team.  We're excited to welcome Matt's good ideas and enthusiasm to our leadership.
