TIME TO PLANT!

Come plant with us this fall!  As always, we provide seedlings, planting instruction, shovels and gloves.  Please bring your own snacks, water, layers, sunscreen and appropriate footwear.

Waddle Ranch Planting
Wednesday, October 30^th 9:30 am – 2:30pm

Come plant sugar pines just outside Truckee with Patagonia Employees!  We will meet at the Truckee-Tahoe Airport and carpool or caravan to the planting site at Waddle Ranch. Our special guest, Felix Brosch will guide us through some forest meditation as well.

Kings Beach Planting 
Sunday, November 3^rd 10am – 12pm

Join the North Tahoe High School Interact Club and plant sugar pines in Kings Beach!  We will meet at the cul-de-sac at the end of Commonwealth Drive.

Little Valley Fire Planting
Wednesday, November 13^th 9:30am – 2:30pm

Come plant sugar pines in the Little Valley Fire burn scar with Patagonia and Salesforce Employees!  Meet at Bowers Mansion Regional Park parking lot.

Our New Website is Live!

We recently launched our new website and invite you to look at our photos, browse our calendar for events, shop the store, read our bios, and make a donation.  The look and feel of the site is greatly improved.  Please do let us know if you encounter any glitches, though - it is still a work in progress!

Thank You, Tim!

We worked with Tim Briggs of Arctos Productions to build our new website.  We were very fortunate to find Tim through Catchafire, a service that pairs skilled volunteers with non-profits in need of technical or design support.  Patagonia generously sponsors our Catchafire membership.
Tim was the first volunteer to eagerly reply to our request for help with web design.  As a talented and ambitious young photographer and web designer, we knew he was the right guy for the job right away.
He spent many hours on the phone and in Skype conferences with us to craft the new site - in addition to untold hours finding and making the right Word Press plug-ins ad features work for us.  On top of all that, Tim traveled from Boston, MA to Tahoe to present the new website to our Board of Directors in September!  He also photographed our Board and Staff, our cone collections and burns scars that we have replanted.  Tim was easy to please, he loved mountain biking in Tahoe and photographing the beautiful landscape.
We decided that Tim's services are definitely worth paying for and we are glad to now have Tim on board as our Web Guru.  We look forward to working with him and hosting him again in Tahoe any time!
